KEFFI shifts the dial on ‘U Know Me’, a peak-time tech house roller with a brighter side to it. Rolling low-end, groovy drums and a catchy spoken vocal give it plenty of club weight, while there’s enough feel in there to take it well beyond the darker end of the room.
The Scottish-born, London-based producer has already picked up support from Carl Cox, Danny Howard and Dombresky, with his debut release hitting #1 on Beatport’s Tech House chart. Releases on Toolroom Trax and Tropica Records have followed, alongside appearances at UNVRS, Hï and Elrow.
‘U Know Me’ also marks a shift in where KEFFI is heading creatively. Moving to England, and eventually London, pulled him deeper into a different side of club culture and naturally started changing what was coming out of the studio.
The percussion and groove are still very much his; this one just opens things up a little - brighter, more feel-good, and still very much made for peak time.
